Dalton L. Larson, Chairman

Mr. Larson is a former partner of a major Vancouver Law firm, now McMillan LLP and currently maintains a private practice along with a successful investment business. As an expert in alternate dispute resolution, Dalton has extensive experience as a professional arbitrator and mediator. He holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of London, England.

He has considerable business and finance experience, including serving more than 25 years as a director of several investment funds. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of a Philippine ethanol company and was a founding shareholder and first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the First Coal Corporation, which started operations in 2004 raising in excess of $65 million in equity to finance its development activities. This company was sold to Xstrata in 2011 for in excess of $150 million.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Energizer Resources Inc., a publicly traded mineral exploration and mining company that is developing it’s 100% owned flagship Molo Graphite Project in southern Madagascar. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Smartcool Systems Inc., which provides cutting edge energy efficient and energy cost reduction solutions for businesses around the world.


Allan Larmour,
Director, President & CEO

Allan Larmour is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in Fortune 500 companies, start-up technology companies, international sales and business development, and executive management.  Mr. Larmour has been a strategic business planning and investment consultant since 2009 and holds directorship and executive leadership positions at several private and public companies.  He is a professional engineer and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in electrical engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics, both from the University of British Columbia.


Kulwant Sandher,

Mr. Kulwant Sandher is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 25 years of experience in business and finance. Mr. Sandher graduated from Queen Mary, University of London (formerly known as Queen Mary College) in 1986 with a B.Sc. degree (Eng.) in Avionics. Mr. Sandher became a Chartered Accountant in England in 1991 and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in Canada in 1997. He has held leadership roles as a chief financial officer in various private and public companies.


James Matkin,

Mr. James Matkin has a strong background in entrepreneurship with early stage companies and policy development for the province of British Columbia. As a young law professor at UBC in 1973 he became the first Deputy Minister of Labour. He developed with some brilliant colleagues like Paul Weiler, now a Harvard law professor, the new Labour Code of BC that influenced labour law across Canada and in Europe. He was the lead official in the 1981 constitutional battle resulting in the Charter Rights. Matkin played a major role in policy development in 1995 as a sole Commissioner of Inquiry appointed by the Minister of Finance Glen Clark to reform the controversial Vancouver Stock Exchange. He was appointed as BC’s director of the Bank of Canada during the controversial inflation control period from 1992-95.

Mr. Matkin is Special Counsel for Instream Energy Systems Corp an alternative energy company headquartered in Vancouver with major developments in China, Europe and the USA. He is a founder of Canwood International Inc., focused on timber trade with China. He cochaired the Vancouver Board of Trade Canada – US committee for 5 years. He was founding director of Hydrogen Power Inc. an alternative energy company commercializing UBC patented technology. He was founding chair and director of GT Group Telecom Inc., an early stage Canadian Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) telecommunications service provider that raised more than $2 billion in equity and debt on the NASDAQ big board and Toronto Stock Exchange . He was CEO of the Business Council of BC 1983-93 and Deputy Minister in the BC provincial government from 1973-83.

Mr. Matkin obtained a Master of Laws from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Laws and Arts from the University of Alberta. He is a Queens Counsel (Q.C.).
